HISTORY OF YOGA
Yoga is a physical and meditative practice originating in India. The roots of Yoga go as far back as 3300-1700 BCE, with sites in the Indus River Valley depicting figures in postures resembling common Yoga meditative positions.
Derived from the Sanskrit word "yuj" (to yoke), Yoga is a means to join or unite the many aspects of the self through meditation, breathing, and gentle movements designed to reduce the distractions of the external world.
Yoga is for everyone—all ages, abilities and learning styles. Practicing Yoga promotes improvement in:

| Please wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing, bring your own sticky Yoga mat, water and a small hand towel. We practice in bare feet. Try not to eat for 2-1/2 hours prior to class | Day and Evening Classes Forming |
